i received this book as a part of the booksneeze blogger book review program. i didnt know much about chris seay, the author of this book, but i liked his brother robbie’s band and had heard good things about him, so i decided to give it a shot. this was a very solid book. it gives christians a new vision for what the gospel is really about, rather than what we have made it about. between chapters, he interviews some of the great christian thinkers and authors of the day. this threw me off a bit at first because i wasn’t expecting it, and didn’t seem to flow with the book. the more i thought about it, though, the more i realized it was more bang for your buck (even though the book was free). you get to hear from guys like rick mckinley, gabe lyons and shane claiborne, which was very cool. i loved his discussion on righteousness, and how we have distorted that to be about right and wrong, but rather it is about a different way of life that changes everything about us. this book gets a 4/5 on the blair-o-meter. good read and important discussion that needs to be had.
